General Information
Earliest reference to the Africanis dates some 7000 years to ancient egypt. The dog of today still embodies the perfect African dog as it is enduring, resiliant and tough.
Appearance
The Africanis dog breed is scrawny and slight but also sturdy and strong with muscle in its smaller body. It is simplictic in appearance but highly functional.
Temperament
The Africanis dog is very friendly and sociable with humans although they do have a strong territorial instinct with other pets. They do not need special social attention and are generally easy to keep.
Working and Tasks
As one of the worlds oldest breeds of dog the Africanis has been used for a great many tasks with the most popular of today being as a freindly home companion or small guard dog.
