The Kramar Safe T Harness works as a seat belt for your dog. When traveling in a car, it can be dangerous to have a dog that is not belted in. Firstly the dog could distract you while you are driving, even worse it could venture forward into the front seat or even try to get to you, the driver.
A harness will protect both the animal and the other passengers in the car. It will prevent the dog from moving around or being thrown around due to sharp corners or bends in the road. A frightened dog is particularly likely to try and get to its owner who if they are sitting in the front, makes a harness type seat belt even more important.
A terrible accident could occur if a dog is loose in a car. Slamming on breaks whilst driving at a high speed can cause just the same type of accident with a dog than it can with a human. Control is another important issue. Even dogs that don’t tend to chase or bark at small animals or other dogs could suddenly decide to jump after something they see as they are traveling in a car. If a window is open, there is a chance it could jump out, or jump forward into the front seat, taking the driver by surprise. It is also much nicer for everyone if the dog is calm and safely secured. It makes the journey easier for everybody as any risks are minimized and there is more comfort for all passengers.
The Kramer Safe T-Harness is very easy to use and fitted. The seat belt in the car is threaded through a loop at the back of the harness to secure it in place.
